It’s been election time at Park Road Community Primary School with new leaders being chosen to represent their class in one of our school teams.
The new team leaders were picked by class vote following a presentation to their fellow pupils and class teacher. Year 6 representatives were interviewed by Mrs Quigley and Miss Mills for a chance to become Team Leaders as well as Head Boy and Head Girl.
We now have four teams who will work together over the year on a number of projects for the school. Teams this year are the Happiness Team which also includes an Animal Welfare Lead, Sports Crew, the Eco Team and our Innov8 team.
Mrs Quigley said: “Class teachers and the children got to listen to some wonderful presentations where the pupils put themselves forward to represent the class on one of our school teams. Miss Mills and I also enjoyed interviewing our Year 6 children who applied for Team Leader roles across school.
“I have been so impressed with every interview or presentation I have seen. It struck me how creative, confident, and ambitious our children are! Every single person who put themselves forward should be so proud regardless of the outcome.”
